Pulsar Merger XT50 LRF Thermal Binoculars

The Pulsar Merger LRF XT50 is a premium High Definition thermal binocular built for serious observation, combining high-definition imaging, solid ergonomics, and advanced rangefinding in a rugged package. At its core is a 1280×1024, 12 µm thermal sensor with a NETD of less than 40 mK, delivering very sensitive detection and crisp thermal detail even in challenging environments.

Optically, it features a fast 50 mm f/1.0 germanium objective lens with a zoom range of 2× to 16× (optical + digital), giving a flexible field of view for both wide scans and detailed inspection. Its field of view is impressively wide — 17.5° — which makes panoramic scanning much easier and reduces the need to constantly sweep.

One standout innovation in this model is built-in image stabilisation, a first for Pulsar’s thermal lineup. That helps reduce motion blur when magnifying distant or fast-moving targets, and it also makes video recording more stable.

Speaking of range, the XT50 includes a laser rangefinder capable of measuring up to 1,500 m with ±1 m accuracy. That’s especially useful for long-range observation or hunting, letting you quickly gauge the distance to a target.

The viewing experience is enhanced by twin high-contrast AMOLED displays (1280×960) for each eye, reducing fatigue over prolonged use. The unit also has built-in video and photo recording, with 64 GB of internal memory to save your images and footage.

Durability is a strong suit: the body is made from magnesium alloy, offering a solid but relatively light build (about 950 g), and it’s rated IPX7 for water resistance. The binoculars support two batteries — an internal Li-ion and a removable APS3 battery — giving up to around 6–8 hours of runtime, depending on how much you use features like Wi-Fi or the rangefinder.

Connectivity comes in via 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi, with compatibility with Pulsar’s Stream Vision 2 app. You can stream, control, and download visuals wirelessly.

In short, the Merger LRF XT50 is a feature-rich, high-performance thermal binocular that’s well suited for professional-level observation, wildlife spotting, and tactical use, especially for those who need long range, stability, and image quality all in one.
